I wanted music while I work without a browser tab eating a gigabyte of RAM. OmaJuke puts YouTube inside the Omarchy bar: search, hit Enter, and audio plays through mpv — and keeps playing after the panel closes.
Features
- A queue of up to 200 tracks with autoplay
- Media keys through MPRIS, plus global Hyprland shortcuts
- An optional video window that floats in a corner and follows you across workspaces
- Its own audio output without touching the system default, opt-in SponsorBlock skipping and optional sign-in
Privacy by default
No telemetry, and no network activity at all while it’s idle. The test suite runs against stub versions of mpv, yt-dlp and Hyprland so the whole thing can be verified without a desktop.
It was listed and verified on the Omarchy plugin marketplace on 7 October 2026, a day after the first commit.
